Description

These Tasty Loaded Tater Tot Appetizers offer an irresistible mix of flavors with crispy tater tots, melted cheddar cheese, savory bacon, and fresh green onions. Ideal for a fun appetizer or a quick snack, they are easy to prepare and sure to delight any crowd!


Ingredients

  • 4860 frozen tater tots (16-oz bag)
  • ¾ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 green onions, sliced (green part only)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450ºF and spray muffin pan cups with cooking spray.
  • For a mini muffin pan, place 2-3 tater tots in each cup. For a regular muffin pan, use 4-5 tater tots per cup.
  • Place the muffin pan on the bottom rack of the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Then, remove the pan from the oven.
  • Spray the bottom of a shot glass or small juice glass with cooking spray. Twist the glass in the muffin cup to form a potato cup, ensuring some space between the glass and the opening.
  • Return the muffin pan to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese to each potato cup and bake for 4-5 minutes until the cheese melts. Let them cool on a platter for 5 minutes.
  • Top each tater tot cup with sour cream, crumbled bacon, and sliced green onions. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding spices or your favorite seasonings to the tater tots.
Ensure the muffin pan is well greased to prevent sticking when removing the tater tot cups.
