Description

This Strawberry Pretzel Salad is an irresistible treat that combines fresh strawberries, creamy layers, and a delightful pretzel crust. Perfect for any potluck or gathering, it’s easy to make and incredibly satisfying!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups small salted pretzels (crushed)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup salted butter (melted)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 6 oz strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and gather all ingredients.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the pretzels and brown sugar until well combined but still chunky.
  3. Add the melted butter to the pretzel mixture and pulse until evenly moistened.
  4. Firmly press the crust mixture into the bottom of a parchment-lined 8×8 baking dish and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
  5. Using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Mix in the heavy cream and continue beating until fully combined. Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled crust and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  7. In a medium bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin powder in boiling water. Allow to cool in the fridge for about 30 minutes until thickened.
  8. Fold in the sliced strawberries into the thickened gelatin and pour over the cream cheese layer.
  9. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours until fully set, slice, and serve chilled.

Notes

Ensure that the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing.
Let the gelatin cool properly before adding strawberries to maintain the desired texture.
Chilling the dessert for a longer time enhances the flavor and sets the layers well.
