- 4½ pounds pork shoulder
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 orange, juiced
Instructions
- Prepare the spice rub by mixing paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and cumin in a small bowl.
- Rub the spice mixture generously all over the pork shoulder.
- Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker and add diced onion, garlic, and orange juice on top.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours until the pork shreds easily with two forks.
- Transfer the pork to a cutting board, shred it, then return it to the juices in the slow cooker.
