Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 cup potatoes, diced
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- ½ cup green beans
- 1 tsp seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 cup water
- 1 bouillon cube
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Season the chicken, potatoes, and carrots with your chosen seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place the potatoes and carrots in a 6-quart slow cooker and arrange the chicken on top.
- Combine the water and bouillon, pour into the slow cooker, then add the crushed garlic. Top chicken with pats of butter.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours, or on HIGH for 4 hours. Halfway through cooking, open the slow cooker, add green beans, and close the lid to finish cooking.
- For crisper chicken thighs, broil them in a skillet until browned. To thicken gravy, stir a mix of water and cornstarch into the juices and cook on HIGH until thickened. Serve the dish with the juices.
Notes
You can use any cut of chicken you prefer, though dark meat works best for slow cooking.
Adjust the seasoning based on your preference for a more robust flavor.
For an extra touch, add herbs like thyme or rosemary during cooking.
