This Shaved Brussels Sprouts dish is all about fantastic flavor and easy prep. With fresh ingredients like brussels sprouts, garlic, and parmesan, it’s perfect for a healthy lunch or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb. brussels sprouts, shaved
  • ⅓ cup red onion, finely diced
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ⅓ cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add the shaved brussels sprouts, red onion, and a pinch of salt. Sauté for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 3 minutes until the sprouts are softened and slightly browned.
  4. Transfer the sautéed sprouts to a serving platter or bowl, sprinkle freshly grated parmesan cheese on top, and season with additional salt and black pepper to taste.

Notes

Using a food processor can save time when shaving the brussels sprouts.
Feel free to add toasted nuts for extra crunch and flavor.
Serve warm as a side dish or top with protein for a complete meal.
