Description

These turkey meatballs are packed with flavor and easy to make, featuring delicious herbs and garlic. Perfect for a quick and healthy family dinner!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup plain bread crumbs, or italian breadcrumbs
  • 2 shallots, minced (approx. ¼ cup)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter, grated
  • 1 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 24-oz. marinara sauce, 2 jars
  • 8 oz. angel hair pasta, or any kind of pasta
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • more fresh basil and parsley

Instructions

  1. Combine ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, shallots, garlic, oregano, parsley, basil, ground pepper, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon or your hands for easier blending.
  3. Fold in the grated cold butter until evenly distributed.
  4. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, making approximately 12 meatballs.

Notes

For added flavor, refrigerate the meatball mixture for 30 minutes before forming into balls.
Serve these meatballs with your favorite pasta or on a sub for a delicious sandwich.
These meatballs can be baked for a healthier option instead of frying.
