Description

This homemade Peach Preserves captures the essence of summer with juicy peaches, a hint of lemon zest, and just the right amount of sugar. Perfect for spreading on toast or adding to desserts, this easy recipe brings a delightful flavor to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 peaches, diced into 2” cubes
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ½ lemon, zest

Instructions

  1. Combine diced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a large saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a rapid boil, stirring occasionally, and boil for 20 minutes. Use a wooden spoon to help break down the peaches until the mixture thickens. It is done when the peaches cling to the back of a spoon.
  3. Transfer the preserves to a large glass jar or smaller jars with sealed lids and refrigerate. Keeps for up to 2 months.

Notes

Make sure to use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
This preserves can be used as a spread or as a topping for desserts.
