Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh peaches
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Peel, pit, and slice enough peaches to create 2 cups. Place them in a food processor, add lemon juice, and blend until pureed.
- Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and salt to the peach puree, and blend until well combined. Set the mixture aside.
- In a separate large bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream with a mixer until it forms stiff peaks, which takes about 5 minutes.
- Carefully fold the peach puree into the whipped cream until thoroughly mixed.
- Peel, pit, and slice any additional peaches you want to layer with the ice cream.
- In a large loaf pan, layer the ice cream mixture with peach slices, starting with ice cream on the bottom, then peaches, and repeating the layers.
- Cover and freeze the ice cream overnight.
Notes
For best flavor, use ripe, seasonal peaches.
You can substitute other fruits if desired.
Make sure to freeze the ice cream for at least 8 hours for the best texture.
