Description

Enjoy a delicious Mixed Berry Crisp featuring juicy strawberries and blueberries, topped with a crunchy oat crumble. This simple dessert is perfect for gatherings and satisfies sweet cravings with ease!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¾ cup (93g) all purpose flour
  • ¾ cup (64g) quick cook oats
  • ¾ cup (150g) packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons (78g) cold unsalted butter, diced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups blueberries, frozen or fresh
  • ½ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons (24g) cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the crumble by mixing flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Cut in the diced butter using a pastry cutter until crumbly, using your hands as necessary. Set aside.
  3. In another large bowl, combine strawberries and blueberries. Gently mix in granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Spread this mixture in the bottom of an 8-inch square baking pan.
  4. Top the berry mixture with the crumble, pressing down slightly to compact it.
  5. Bake for 30-33 minutes, until the crumble is golden brown and crunchy. For best results, serve it warm or at room temperature with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using a mix of fresh and frozen berries.
You can substitute any berries you prefer in this crisp.
Allow the berry crisp to cool slightly before serving to maintain its structure.
