- 4 oz baking chocolate
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13-inch pan with foil and cooking spray.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine baking chocolate and butter. Heat on HIGH for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Mix in sugar.
- Incorporate eggs, vanilla, 1 tsp of cinnamon, ¾ tsp of cayenne, salt, and 2 tbsp of cocoa, stirring until incorporated.
- Gradually add flour, being careful to mix thoroughly. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. It's done when a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs attached.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, ¼ tsp cocoa, ¼ tsp cinnamon, and a pinch of cayenne. Sprinkle this mixture over the sliced brownies.
Notes
For a spicier kick, adjust the amount of cayenne to your taste.
