Description

Grinch Oreos are a festive treat that combines irresistible red velvet Oreos with melted green candy. Simple to make and perfect for any gathering, these cookies bring joy and flavor to the holiday season!


Ingredients

  • 10 ounces light green candy melts
  • 12.2 ounces red velvet Oreos
  • 24 red heart sprinkles
  • 1 tablespoon dark green sanding sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper; set aside and reserve ½ cup of light green candy melts for drizzling.
  • Melt the remaining candy melts in a double boiler over low heat, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth, or use a microwave in 30-second intervals.
  • Dip one Red Velvet Oreo into the melted chocolate using a fork. Lift it out and gently tap to remove excess coating.
  • Place the dipped cookie on the prepared tray, and continue with the remaining Oreos.
  • Put the reserved ½ cup of candy melts in a microwave-safe piping bag. Melt on low power, massaging every 60 seconds.
  • Cut a small tip off the piping bag and drizzle the melted candy over the dipped Oreos in a zig-zag pattern.
  • Top each cookie with a red heart sprinkle and optional green sanding sugar immediately.
  • Let the chocolate set completely at room temperature or in the fridge before serving.

Notes

For a fun variation, try using different colored candy melts.
Ensure the coating is smooth for an even finish on the cookies.
Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
