Description

These Grilled Shrimp Skewers are a quick and flavorful dish perfect for summer barbecues. Made with fresh shrimp, garlic, and zesty lemon, these skewers deliver mouthwatering flavors that are sure to impress at any outdoor gathering. Ideal for a healthy snack or light dinner!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp and toss to ensure they are well coated. Allow the shrimp to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  3. Thread the marinated shrimp onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, discarding the marinade afterward.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Place the shrimp skewers on the grill, cooking for about 2 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the grill and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for added flavor.

Notes

Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or onions to the skewers for added flavor and nutrition.
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
For extra spice, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the marinade.
