- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 3/4 cups chopped pecans, toasted
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine egg yolks, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and sugar. Whisk until well combined and heated for 12-15 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat, then stir in shredded coconut and pecans. Pour into a glass bowl and set aside to cool completely.

Ensure the egg yolks are adequately heated in the mixture for the best consistency.
Coconut and pecans can be adjusted according to preference for flavor intensity.
