Description

Fried Deviled Eggs are a delightful twist on a classic favorite. Featuring crispy fried egg whites filled with a creamy yolk mixture, this recipe is ideal for quick gatherings or as a satisfying snack. It’s easy to prepare, making it a wonderful choice for homemade indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup plain regular breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper
  • Paprika, for garnish
  • Extra fresh dill, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the 6 large eggs in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, reduce to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove eggs and cool them in an ice bath.
  2. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Scoop out the yolks and set aside the egg whites.
  3. Mash the yolks until smooth and mix with mayonnaise, fresh dill, Dijon mustard, salt, and white pepper. Cover and refrigerate while preparing the egg whites.
  4. Set up a breading station with all-purpose flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of panko and regular breadcrumbs in separate bowls.
  5. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  6. Dredge each egg white half in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat in breadcrumbs, pressing gently for an even layer.
  7. Fry the breaded egg whites in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 1-2 minutes per side. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. Once slightly cooled, fill each fried egg white half with the chilled yolk mixture using a piping bag or spoon.
  9. Garnish with paprika and fresh dill, and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure oil is at the right temperature to achieve a crispy exterior.
Feel free to adjust seasonings in the yolk mixture to suit your taste.
Serve them fresh for the best flavor and texture.
