Description
This Easy Boursin Bruschetta Dip combines creamy Boursin cheese with fresh tomatoes and basil for a delicious appetizer. Perfect for parties, it’s quick to prepare and full of flavor, making it a must-try for any home cook.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 packages Boursin (5.3 oz each)
- 1.5 cups chopped de-seeded tomatoes
- 1/4 cup packed fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- salt and pepper to taste
- balsamic reduction (Alessi brand recommended)
- crackers or crostini (see notes)
Instructions
- Allow the Boursin to sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to soften.
- In a small bowl, mix chopped tomatoes, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper. Let it sit for 5 minutes to draw out tomato juices.
- Spread softened Boursin in an even layer on a shallow serving dish or pie pan.
- Top with the tomato-basil mixture, leaving juices behind.
- Drizzle with balsamic reduction and garnish with basil. Serve with crackers or crostini.
Notes
For best results, use vine-ripened or Roma tomatoes for maximum flavor.
You can prepare the tomato mixture in advance and add it to the Boursin just before serving.
The dip can be served straight out of the fridge, but softening the Boursin enhances its spreadability.
