This Easy Asian Slaw bursts with irresistible flavors thanks to fresh coleslaw mix, crunchy sesame seeds, and a zesty dressing. Perfect for a quick, healthy meal or as a side dish at gatherings, this recipe is both simple and satisfying, making it a great choice for food lovers looking for homemade options.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 to 8 cups coleslaw mix
  • 2 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 clove garlic (finely minced, optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk the rice vinegar, vegetable oil, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, honey, and garlic (if using) in a large bowl to create the dressing.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix, sliced green onion, and sesame seeds to the bowl. Toss everything well to coat the vegetables with the dressing.
  3. If possible, refrigerate the slaw for about 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.
  4. Serve with additional sesame seeds and green onions as a garnish, if desired.

Notes

For extra crunch, add chopped peanuts or cilantro.
Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey according to your taste.
This slaw can be made a few hours in advance for easier meal prep.
