Description

This creamy hot honey hummus is irresistibly flavorful and incredibly easy to prepare. Made with chickpeas, garlic, and a touch of hot honey, it’s a delightful dip or spread that’s perfect for healthy snacks or as a zesty appetizer at any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 (14 ounce) cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ⅔ cup tahini
  • ¼ cup hot honey, plus more for drizzling
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ¼ to ½ cup ice water
  • olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Reserve a few chickpeas to sprinkle on top of the hummus later.
  2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, garlic, tahini, hot honey, lemon juice, ½ teaspoon of salt, and pepper. Blend and pulse for 2 to 3 minutes, scraping down the sides every 30 seconds until fully blended.
  3. While processing, stream in the ice water until the mixture is super smooth and creamy. Adjust salt and pepper as needed and blend again if necessary.
  4. Spread hummus into a bowl or onto a plate. Top with reserved chickpeas, drizzle olive oil and additional hot honey, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper.
Enjoy this hummus with pita, fresh vegetables, or as a spread on sandwiches.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
