- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
- On a lightly floured surface, unfold the thawed puff pastry sheets. Roll them out gently to even out the creases.
- Pour half of the melted butter onto each pastry sheet and spread evenly. Sprinkle half of the garlic salt, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese over each sheet.
- Cut the puff pastry into 3/4" wide strips using a pizza cutter. Twist each strip and arrange them onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Use a pastry brush to apply the egg wash to the twisted puff pastry.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs to the cheese mixture.
