- 1 8 ounce block cream cheese softened
- 4 ounces mascarpone cheese softened
- 6 ounces finely grated sharp white cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans regular or candied pecans
- 3/4 cup chopped dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced chives
- 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mascarpone cheese using a mixer or a large spoon until well mixed.
- Stir in the grated cheddar cheese and add salt and pepper to taste, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Form the mixture into bite-sized cheese balls.
- On two plates, spread the pecans and cranberries. On a third plate, mix the chives and parsley together.
- Coat one-third of the cheese balls in pecans, another third in cranberries, and the remaining third in the herb mixture.
- Chill the cheese balls in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add some finely chopped jalapeños to the cheese mixture.
These cheese balls can be made a day in advance for easy entertaining.
