Description

These caramelized figs offer irresistible sweetness combined with the herbal notes of thyme, served beautifully over creamy Greek yogurt. Perfect for a quick yet elegant dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • 3 large figs, cut in half
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 ounces Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios, toasted

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Add honey and thyme leaves to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute.
  3. Place the fig halves cut-side down into the honey mixture.
  4. Caramelize for 2-3 minutes, then use tongs to turn the figs over and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Serve caramelized figs over Greek yogurt with a drizzle of thyme honey and top with toasted pistachios.

Notes

For a special touch, use fresh thyme for maximum flavor.
Make sure to toast the pistachios for enhanced crunch and flavor.
Feel free to use flavored Greek yogurt for a unique twist.
