Description

These Blueberry Crumble Bars offer a delightful blend of buttery crumble and juicy blueberries, making them a perfect treat for any gathering. Easy to prepare and irresistibly tasty, they’re a must-try for dessert lovers!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups salted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350℉ and line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix in the all-purpose flour until well combined.
  4. Press about 2/3 of this mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar and cornstarch, then fold in the fresh blueberries until coated.
  6. Spoon the blueberry mixture over the baked crust, spreading it out evenly.
  7. Crumble the remaining dough mixture on top of the blueberries.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  9. If desired, prepare the icing by whisking the powdered sugar with milk until it reaches a drizzling consistency. Adjust with more milk if needed.
  10. Once cooled, drizzle the icing over the bars and enjoy.

Notes

For best results, use fresh blueberries for maximum flavor.
Allow the bars to cool completely before icing to prevent melting.
These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days.
