Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
- 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel, then brush about 1/2 teaspoon of mustard onto each salmon filet. Sprinkle each filet with 1/4 of the spice mixture and let sit for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, arrange the salmon in the preheated air fryer with about an inch of space between each piece. Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees F.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the filets from the air fryer and place them on a plate. Cover with aluminum foil while cooking any remaining salmon, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
Ensure the salmon is patted dry for better adherence of the mustard and spice mixture.
Adjust the spice based on your preference for heat by adding more or less mustard.
Garnish with fresh herbs for added flavor and presentation.
